When I paint I use my hands. Using my fingers, hands, wrists and arms to manoeuvre the paint across the canvas gives me complete control over the finest detail of my pictures.

I believe it also makes my work more instinctive than if I used a brush or some other method to move the paint.

I believe that you should be able to physically connect with art. I want you to want to touch my creations …..my work is abstract developing from mental 'snapshots' that bring me my first idea, anything can do this, a glimpse of colour, a stone, a plant, the sea.

I've always loved the process and results of creating things. I am working on a multimedia piece now which will require a large gallery space, which promises to be provocative and extravagant.

I am exploring form versus function, using "found". By taking these objects out of context they become artistic expressions in their own right, with textures, colours, rhythms and personalities all their own.

I sell paintings through personal contacts and exhibitions, and I am happy to carry out commissions. Examples of some of my recent work are shown elsewhere on the website, although it is not possible here to convey the vibrant colours or rich textures. Please contact me by telephone or email if you are interested in my work in any way.
